This leadership series is part of The 50th School of Conscious PR, something our founder Naz Lauriault (@nazlauriault) has been thoughtfully building for over seven years.

From years of working with impact-driven leaders from minority communities, Naz kept hearing the same need: a space to learn how to communicate with clarity, integrity and impact, without burning out or losing their sense of purpose.

The school was created to be that space.

More than 70 Indigenous languages are spoken across Canada. Each one carries generations of teachings and ways of understanding the world.

Today, on National Indigenous Languages Day, we are thinking of the communities we work alongside and the languages they continue to protect and pass on.

To honour this, we wanted to share with you how to say thank you in the traditional languages of some of the Nations we are beyond grateful to work with.

This month, our client, Snuneymuxw First Nation, shared a monumental milestone, one we were honoured to help uplift.

Petroglyph Development Group @petroglyph_dg, a wholly owned corporation of the Nation, acquired full ownership of the Courtyard Nainamo.

This acquisition reflects Snuneymuxw’s long-term, sustainable approach to economic development, investing in income-generating assets that create employment, enable community reinvestment and strengthen economic resilience for future generations.

The announcement received strong media coverage across outlets, including the Times Colonist, CTV News Vancouver Island, CHEK News and NanaimoNewsNow, recognizing the continued economic strength and leadership Snuneymuxw is building.
