Today we’re shining a spotlight on Bada Jean, an Indigenous visual artist from Tsuut’ina + Ahtahkakoop, currently on the W̱SÁNEĆ & lək̓ʷəŋən territory.

Her art is designed to evoke feelings and showcase the beauty in Indigenous culture. Bada Jean has always created throughout her life and this passion is evident in all the ways she shares her artwork, whether that be through painting, illustration, or film.

“I feel a fire building inside of me and I want to share it. I don't know how else to put it, but painting is my passion and it will be a forever journey for me.”

On March 21st, during the B Corp Champions Retreat, our founder, Naz Lauriault, will be joining a group of panelists to speak about her learnings working with Indigenous communities as a non-Indigenous person over the last 10 years.

This breakout session will bring together business leaders to discuss how their organizations are restoring trust and creating Reconciliation Action Plans to deepen meaningful engagement and support to the communities.

Naz's experience both before and after founding 50th Parallel Public Relations has given her key insights into the best practices for working with communities, that she hopes to share with other B Corps.
