50th Parallel was born out of a vision of empowerment and we use our social channels to carry that vision forward.

Through our series “Voices You Should Know,” we are continuing to highlight individuals whose contributions to media and communications deserve visibility.

With this, today we are amplifying Kristy Drutman. @browngirl_green 

Kristy is a speaker, consultant, media producer and environmental educator whose storytelling has helped thousands understand the human side of the climate crisis. She creates space for people who are often left out of environmental narratives and encourages communities to see climate leadership as something they can take part in.

Known online as “Browngirl Green,” Kristy also co-founded the Green Jobs Board, a climate tech startup that is opening doors in the green economy by connecting people with equitable pathways and showcasing diverse talent. 

Her work is creating real change, and we highly recommend you check out her social pages to follow along with what she does next.
