FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

NAZ LAURIAULT, FOUNDER OF 50TH PARALLEL PUBLIC RELATIONS, RECOGNIZED ON INTERNATIONAL STAGE AS ONE OF THE PR NET’S MARCOMMS’ MOST INFLUENTIAL 2025
Recognition celebrates innovative approach to conscious public relations and Indigenous communications

Traditional territories of the lək̓ʷəŋən, Victoria, BC (November 12, 2025) – 50th Parallel Public Relations (50th Parallel PR) founder and managing director, Naz Lauriault, has been named among The PR Net’s Marcomms’ Most Influential 2025, an international awards program that celebrates visionaries driving innovation and impact in marketing and communications.

Under Lauriault’s leadership, 50th Parallel PR has become a national leader in values-based and Indigenous-centered communications, partnering with more than 20% of BC’s First Nations. As a non-Indigenous person, she views this level of trust as a responsibility rather than an accolade. The agency’s commitment to purpose-driven business is reflected in its B Corp certification (2023) and membership in 1% for the Planet (2025). 50th Parallel PR is also a BC Living Wage Employer, reflecting Lauriault’s belief that the way an agency treats its own team must align with the values it promotes publicly.

“This recognition reflects our commitment to communications that centre equity, authentic relationship-building and meaningful impact,” said Naz Lauriault, founder and managing director of 50th Parallel PR. “Working alongside Indigenous communities and marginalized populations has taught me that true influence comes from deep listening, learning with intention and using our platforms to amplify voices that have been historically silenced. It reflects both the hard and heart work that we do, approaching every story with care, integrity and purpose.”

Lauriault brings a distinctive approach to communications strategy, combining corporate, nonprofit and First Nations consulting experience to specialize in meaningful engagement, capacity building and advocacy for equity and allyship. This foundation shapes everything the agency does. Specializing in work with Indigenous communities, government agencies and purpose-driven organizations, the focus is on inspiring clients through meaningful, engaging and intuitive content that is truly human to its core.

Career highlights for Lauriault include leading communications on community- and survivor-centered initiatives with Indigenous communities across British Columbia, including governance and treaty communications and truth-telling work related to Indian Residential Schools. She has supported complex multi-government collaborations and helped purpose-driven executives and community leaders develop thought leadership platforms that centre inclusion, justice and impact.

In addition to her agency work, Lauriault is the founder of The 50th School for Conscious PR, an education platform that teaches leaders how to communicate with clarity, integrity and impact. In 2024, she was recognized by Inspiring Workplaces with an “Inspiring Leader” award for her people-first, values-driven leadership.

The annual Marcomms’ Most Influential awards recognize outstanding senior leaders in marketing and communications who demonstrate exceptional leadership, innovation and achievement in the field. This year’s honourees represent top brands and agencies across industries — including DECIEM, Walt Disney Studios, L’Oreal, Free People and Merrell — and exemplify creativity, impact and purpose in their work. Recipients are selected by an independent committee of esteemed industry figures who evaluate each nominee’s accomplishments, innovation and influence within the sector.
